It is nutrient-dense or not though. Science, NOT GROSS DIET CULTURE, proves that not all calories are created equal.

Food as fuel needs to be nutrient-dense for our bodies to feel as good as they can regardless of body type.
When we start looking at food as it’s created, for nutrients, and eat according to our nutrient needs, we feel better physically, emotionally and mentally.
The NUMBER one thing that has happened since changing my mindset around food has zero to do with weight loss.
Go back and read that sentence again.
Okay. I am never “starving” anymore. I am never so blindly hungry and hangry that I eat anything I can find.
There’s no “secret” here. I eat the types of food my body needs to run like the system that it is.

Okay, I hear you. “How can they talk about being against diet culture and work as an independent coach with Beachbody?” Simple, Beachbody looks at food as fuel and doesn’t starve it’s clients IF they do the programs correctly. If people come to any nutrition system without healing their relationship with self-image, fat phobia, and body shaming, they will always have a toxic relationship with exercise and weight loss.

Part of the “total package” solution they offer is learning how to UNLEARN toxic thinking, limiting beliefs, and self-sabotage. I am 232 lbs as I write this. I am loving my body as it is right now. It is strong, it is capable, it is beautiful and it changes every day.
For me, that means I’m now vegan, wheat and dairy free. I’ve had food sensitivities my whole life and thought I just “had pain” and “had bad skin”.
Turns out I had nutrient deficiencies.
